Ecokisan is a pioneering farmer-producer company from the Nashik region in India, known for its dedication to organic farming practices. It is a 100% farmer-driven organization, which began its journey towards organic farming in 2014 through a farmer training program called "Development of agriculture through spirituality." This training program introduced the farmers to the principles of "Vrikshya Ayurveda," a traditional Indian system of agriculture that emphasizes the importance of organic farming for both the environment and human health.

Based on the traditional practices of Indian agriculture, the organization has placed a strong emphasis on the use of indigenous cows, also known as "desi cows," as the foundation of its organic farming practices. Through the use of desi cow dung and cow urine, the organization has developed homemade organic fertilizers and pesticides, which have led to significant improvements in crop yields and soil health.

The organization has also adopted the "Amrut Mitti" technique, which is a method of converting regular soil into organic, carbon-rich soil through the use of natural materials such as clay and herbs. This technique has been found to improve the immunity of plants against diseases. Furthermore, some farmers within the organization also follow the agnihotra (Homa) organic farming practice. This is an ancient Indian farming practice that is based on the use of mantras and a fire ceremony to create a positive energy field around the farmland. This technique is believed to improve the nutritional quality of farm produce, as per the scientific theory that plants get 98% of their nutrients from the air and only 2% from the soil.
